Maria Brink
Maria Brink, born December 18, 1977 was an American artist and singer. She is best known as the frontwoman of In This Moment. The group has released seven albums. They have received four nominations, two from Alternative Press Music Awards and one from Grammy Awards. Brink is also well-known as the "Rock Goddess of the Year", "Hottest Female in Metal" in 2010 and one of eleven women that matter in heavy metal, according to Yell! Revolver Magazine named Brink one of the "25 most hot girls in Hard Rock & Metal" in 2012. In 2002, at the age of 25, she moved to Los Angeles to find a band to join. Prior to getting a band, she worked in shops, and also sang in cafes and bars. In 2004, she met band members Chris Howorth at an audition.At first, Howorth turned down Brink because she was female. Howorth apologized after two weeks and then hired Brink to be the singer. They were formed Dying Star together with Jeff Fabb drummer. Then, Blake Bunzel, guitarist and Josh Newell, bassist joined the group. Soon after, the band changed their name to In This Moment
