Paula Patton was born in Los Angeles to a middle-class family. She grew up having big hopes. Her best roles include the film about spying, Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol as well as the romantic thriller Precious. Growing up with her family in Los Angeles with a middle-class mother, she had lots of desires. The mother of her children was a film enthusiast and was a constant source of encouragement to her love for films when she was a kid. Paula was a fan of school co-curricular activities, and drama was her favorite. She enjoyed performing in stage productions along with her peers. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School's Hamilton Magnet Arts High School was the setting for many school productions. The student decided to be an actor. She attended The University of Southern California in a summer program and thoroughly was awed by her experience. She won an assignment for PBS to make documentaries for the course of three months. The first assignment was to be an assistant to production for TV documentaries, after completing her assignment. The next thing she did was begin producing documentaries. Her work was rewarding however, she always wanted to become an actor. Her first acting gig came by playing a supporting role in Will Smith's romantic comedy Hitch. Since then, she's been in numerous popular films and television shows.
