Taylor

Taylor Swift may be the most rare of all pop artists: one capable of effortlessly bridge the gap between pop and country, conquering the globe. Swift removed her roots in the country as if they were just a second skin to reveal that she was possibly the most savvy popular singer/songwriter in her generation one who could harness the zeitgeist make it personal and also perform in the opposite direction. These skills were evident on her earliest hits especially the Neo-Tribute Tim McGraw but her second album, 2008's Fearless showcased a songwriter discovering the person she really was, and in the process finding the mass market. The album was hugely successful not only in the United States, where six of its singles have been declared platinum, on top of Top Ten hit songs Love Story and You Belong with Me. But it also smashed records across all over the world. Swift managed to build upon her success by releasing Speak Now almost two year after. With the three albums that followed the three albums that followed -- Red 2012 1989 2014, along with Reputation 2017, Swift's success only grew. That was an obvious indicator that Swift had entered a new pop world where she fit in. When she reduced her sound with the stripped-down releases of 2020, Folklore, and Evermore but she was still in the top spot. The position was defended through re-recordings of her previous catalog as along with Midnights the synth-based chart-topper 2022 album.
